Everything you need to know before placing your wholesale or OEM order.
What types of garden gate latches do you manufacture?
We produce a full range: thumb latches, slide bolts, self-closing latches, magnetic catches, cane bolts, and drop rods. Each type is available in multiple materials (304/316 stainless steel, galvanized steel, zinc alloy) and finishes. For OEM clients, we can combine features — for example, a self-closing latch with a thumb-activated release and a padlock hasp. Send your drawing or reference photo, and we'll match or improve it.
Can you customize the latch for my specific gate material (wood, metal, vinyl)?
Absolutely. We regularly customize mounting plates, screw hole patterns, latch length, spring tension, and strike plate depth for different gate materials. For wood gates (1.5"–2" thick) we offer longer screws and adjustable strikes. For metal tube gates (1"–2" square/round), we custom-bend mounting brackets. For vinyl fences, we provide UV-stabilized polymer sleeves and corrosion-proof fasteners. Tell us your gate profile, and we'll engineer the perfect latch.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom latches?
Our standard MOQ for OEM/ODM custom latches is 500 pieces per design. For stock models with standard finishes, we can accommodate smaller orders starting at 100 pieces. For first-time clients, we recommend ordering free samples first to validate fit and finish, then starting with a trial batch of 200–300 units to test the market. We're flexible — our goal is to build a long-term partnership, not to enforce rigid MOQs.
How do you ensure quality control and consistency across large orders?
We follow a strict ISO 9001:2015 quality system. Every production batch undergoes: (1) Incoming material inspection (chemical composition, hardness, thickness), (2) In-process inspection during stamping/welding/assembly, (3) 100% functional testing — each latch is cycled 20 times to verify smooth operation, (4) Salt spray test (ASTM B117) for corrosion resistance, (5) Final dimensional inspection using CMM equipment. We provide a detailed QC report with every shipment, including photos and video of random samples.
What is the typical lead time and shipping cost to the USA?
For standard stock latches: 7–10 days production + 18–22 days sea freight to Los Angeles/Long Beach (total ~4 weeks door-to-port). For custom OEM orders: 15–20 days tooling + production + 18–22 days shipping (total ~5–6 weeks). Express shipping (DHL/FedEx) is 5–7 days for samples. Shipping cost for a 20ft container (approx. 25,000–30,000 pcs) to West Coast USA is typically $2,800–$3,800. We provide free freight consolidation and help optimize container loading to reduce your per-unit cost.
Do your latches meet USA safety and compliance standards?
Yes. Our self-closing and self-latching models are tested to meet UL 325 (automatic gate operators) and ADA requirements for pool safety gates. All materials comply with RoHS and REACH. We can provide ASTM F2204 test reports for latch strength and durability. For commercial projects requiring ICC-ES or Miami-Dade, we can arrange third-party testing. Compliance documentation is included with every shipment.
Can I get free samples before placing a bulk order?
Yes — we offer up to 5 free samples per client (you pay the shipping cost, typically $35–$65 via DHL). Each sample comes with a full dimensional report and material test certificate. We recommend testing the sample on your actual gate to confirm fit, finish, and ease of installation. Once you approve, we move to production. If the sample doesn't meet your expectations, we'll modify the design at no charge until it's right.
